Submit Your Designs

We want your original prints and designs to grace our unique footwear store.   We’re looking for some seriously awesome stuff… use any of the footwear styles we have in our design studio and mix it up with the colours available.  We’re not going to babble on, get your artwork sent in today.

3 things

-          The artwork must be yours, and original work.

-          We will  never use your artwork without your permission.

-          Sending us your work to look at does no bind you to anything.

What we will pay for a design varies from £30 – £150, and you will also get a cut from every sale.  Send us your artwork and we’ll get back to you with an offer.

Email us your artwork and designs to hello@mesfootwork.com .  A screen shot of a shoe from our studio designed with your artwork would also be great.   Any questions, just ask!

A Custom Sneaker artist we LOVE!

Sometimes, something comes along that makes you feel like a 12 year old again, and this collection of custom sneakers from M.T.A.T.W does just that! Displaying cartoon characters from a bygone era (some of which have recent feature films) mixed with classic sneaker styles, these incredibly detailed pieces of art almost look too good to wear.

Made in limited numbers or, more usually, made to order, each pair is completely unique and one of a kind – so if individuality is your thing then there are few better ways to spend your dollars. And if you thought the sneakers were all you would get for your hard earned cash, you’re wrong! Your favourite super hero kicks come in their very own themed shoe box and with the odd accessory (for example, the Captain America trainers come with a Captain America shield/frisby!) just to complete the set.

Although I seem to have been carried away on a wave of nostalgia, it would be unfair to suggest these cartoon themed sneakers were M.T.A.T.W’s only string to their well-crafted bow. They have a range of customs ranging from Chinese Dynasty themes to graffiti.

Obviously, such work doesn’t come cheap with some of the most expensive pairs setting you back $550 and above! In my opinion, that’s a lot for a pair of sneakers…but to feel like a child again is priceless! I’m off to raid my piggy bank and to get a paper round…

Influencer Series – Preview

Coming February 2012 is the Mes INFLUENCER Series.  Below is a sneak preview of one of the designs from the 5 shoe line up.

The first shoe, A-Firm (above) has just come out of sample stage (so we’re still tweaking a few parts of the design), and only a few pairs actually exist (which we’ve been wearing!) – but we wanted to give you a little teaser.

They stand high with a bold statement.  They are a full leather upper, canvas lining and comfortable as hell, while the tops fold and hang loose.

A-Firms defining characteristic is the Speech Bubble, which is customisable with words.  As with the whole Series, each design will come in a selection of colourways.

“Mes Influencers are definitely love them or hate them.  We’ve had some dope reactions and some ‘what the f**k were you thinking’ reactions! – and that’s exactly what we expected”

So ‘here’s to the crazy ones’ – apple

Influencers – designed and created by Mes designer Matt Scott.

RedBull WINGS

red bull shoe Mes Footwork

RED BULL DOES GIVE YOU WINGS! We were just messing around on Friday and while drinking some of the Bull came up with a Jeremy Scott – (Adidas Wings), inspired idea for a RedBull take on this classic sneaker.

Of course the wearability is limited to say the least – with you more likely to razor some passing ankles in a crowd… however, maybe they are inspiration for a new Superhero superweapon.

Top 5 Black Sneakers

Its that time again boys and girls, another run down of the best 5 Mes Artist stores custom sneakers around! This time we take a look at the black custom kicks that caught my eye in the user stores. Take a look, and if you think you could do better, prove it! Set up your own store and show us what you’ve got, we’re waiting…

Coming in at 5…

Class Act with Pollock

With artwork inspired by the early 20th Century artist Pollock, these sneakers blend art with fashion seamlessly to create a pretty cool pair of kicks.

In 4th place…

Fill the Void with Shockwave Owl

With lightning bolts streaking accross the black background, Fill the Void have created a striking pair of custom kicks that will definitely get you noticed!

The bronze medal goes to…

Hannmusic with VN Smooth

I don’t know what VN stands for, but this sleek creation has got me intrigued! The style of sneaker is one of my favourites and adds to the overall look, great job Hannmusic.

Finishing in a respectable 2nd place is…

Art&Sole with Abracadabra

Is it just me or do these custom trainers from Art&Sole really mess with your head? Another great design from Art&sSole who placed 1st in the red sneaker category. Definitely a store to watch out for.

And the gold medal goes to…

DJ Turn with Firestarter

The imagery makes this shoe what it is, a truly unique, interesting pair of custom kicks. Well done DJ Turn, you are this weeks winner!

and the ultimate gift is…

Top 5 Red Sneaker Designs

As the heading suggests, this post is all about the top 5 red sneaker designs on our artist’s stores. The winner will get featured on the main page on the website for maximum exposure for their designs, so if you haven’t set up a store, what are you playing at!? Get one set up in time for future competitions for other colours/designs! Anyway, here goes…

Coming in at 5th place is…

Matts Store, with ‘Hype No’

Matt has kept things simple here with a combination of red and white, with some concentric circles thrown into the mix

And 4th place goes to…

Audacity, with Star Bangers

Similar to Hype No’s colour scheme, Star bangers keep it simple with a red and white design, however the stars give it a sense of American Patriotism, which I kind of like!

Squeezing in to the top 3 is…

Class Act with Different strokes

Class act has designed a pair of kicks that are definitely unique! I cant quite put my finger on why I like them so much, but i’d happily be spotted in these custom trainers.

Just missing out on the top spot is…

SC:Design with 1rst:K

This entry might be a bit controversial with red not being the main feature, but these shoes are worth the flak. A simple design and a thought provoking question makes a pair of shoes that certainly get your attention. I’ll be keeping my eye on SC:Designs to see what they come up with next!

And the Winner is…

Art&Sole with Headphones Art

As soon as I came accross these trainers I knew I had found a potential winner. The black and red works really well together. Add that to the musical influence of the headphones and in my opinion, you get one very, very good pair of Custom Trainers, Congrats Art and Sole!

Tim Westwood gets his hands on a pair of Custom Trainers!

Earlier this week we were able to get DJ play to present “The Big Dawg” with a pair of his very own pair of Tim Westwood trainers.

Needless to say he was impressed with our custom kicks and he’s the first of many big names who will be checking out our work in the coming weeks. The design featured artwork from the cover of ‘Westwood: The Big Dawg Is Back!!!’ and they looked pretty damn good if we do say so ourselves!
